Description

As men we tend to hide our weaknesses. We try to appear strong and fearless constantly. Society has us feeling inadequate if we share our weaknesses, if we open up about our emotions and share our true feelings that convey our vunerablities. In the latest official date report from 2019 in Ireland 390 people died by suicide. Out of that 390, 300 were male. Male suicide rate was 12.9 per 100,000 compared to the female suicide rate of 3.6 per 100,000.

This weeks episode is about Men's Mental Health. It is a topic that we felt an urgency to speak about. Men's mental health is not spoken much about in our society and is often judged upon and we lift the lid on why this is and what can and should be done about it.
