Jamar J Haleem Washington was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He is an Amazon bestselling author, award-winning, nationally published commercial photographer, motivational speaker, and corporate trainer. He has worked with national brands such as Nike, Save The Children Foundation, and The National Guard providing them with the imagery needed to market and promote their businesses and initiatives.

As a motivational speaker, he shares his inspirational and empowering message of becoming a felon in college, and not being able to get a job after graduating. This led to him becoming an entrepreneur. About seven years ago, he developed a mantra titled, I Won't Starve, which has become the catalyst in his pursuit of creating successful entrepreneurs.

Now, with more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur; he created his company, I Won’t Starve Academy, which provides education and training focused on entrepreneurship and career development.

J Haleem is always working to build a strong community of entrepreneurs, he highlights business owners and community leaders on his weekly podcast, “In the Studio with J Haleem,” bringing awareness to new and established entrepreneurs nationwide. The show has helped business owners gain the exposure they need to market themselves to a broader audience and their business has grown because of it!
