Last week on August 18, 1920, was the day the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote was ratified. Meaning that it was officially valid, but it was not until August 26, 1920, when it was actually signed into law and officially put into practice. So today is called Equality day. What does that mean to you? Today I discuss what voting means to me.
