On Tonight's Special we have my former culinary school classmate, an extremely talented chef who I am very proud consider and call a brother Alfonso Canchola. Alfonso is a talented chef who has worked for some of Houston's very well known chefs like Hugo Ortega and Ronnie Killen. On this episode we talk about where it all began for him and about our time in culinary school together. Alfonso shares with us what it was like to work for 2017 James Beard Award winner Chef Hugo Ortega and what he learned during his time working for H Town Restaurant Group. We also talk about what future plans he has for his career. Alfonso and I take a deep dive into what it's like being a chef and some of the difficult challenges that come with the lifestyle of working in the restaurant industry.
