Let’s talk about accomplishing more together.
Some people love being part of a team, while others might prefer
to work more independently. Being part of a great team requires engagement, it requires that everyone participate and be aware of what is happening. Team members on great teams are responsible to one another and committed to accomplishing the purpose or tasks of the group.
When teams or groups come together with a purpose of working
effectively together, they typically go through a process known as forming, storming, norming, and performing. When everyone understands how each person can contribute and what each person will be responsible for, individuals can work
together effectively to accomplish more than they could have individually.
Great teams support one another and help one another to grow in their capabilities.
Great teams understand that team members can contribute in different ways to support the effectiveness of the team.
Great teams have good communication with one another and focus on engaging effectively to move things forward instead of dwelling on past mistakes or failures.
Great teams take motivation from both failures and successes.
Always begin with yourself, and lead by example as a way to be an encouragement to others to bring their best to the team and
to work in a way that is complimentary to the group and the goals to be accomplished.
Teamwork is the dreamwork, when we accomplish more together.
