Monday Motivation and Momentum.

No one can be a better you than you.  This means you are in the best position to be an expert on you.  Experts are created rather than born.  By this I mean to say that in order to show up as an expert for yourself, you'll need to work at it. Becoming an expert on yourself is a journey that requires time, reflection, and self-awareness. It's about understanding your strengths, weaknesses, values, and goals, and using this knowledge to make informed decisions and take action towards living a fulfilled life.

There seems to be some deception floating around that we somehow figure things out along the path of conforming to the norm and what is expected or accepted.  While we can figure out how to survive within a system, survival is a far cry from fulfillment and thriving at being the unique person we can be. It has been my experience that people tend to find things they are looking for or have set themselves up for, versus something finding them.  The best selling book of all time offers this wisdom "Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened."

So for today I wanted to encourage you to be an expert on you.  There are many things you can do to become an expert on yourself, and here are just five suggestions:

  1. Reflect on your values and goals: Take some time to reflect on what is truly important to you and what you want to achieve in life. Consider what values guide your life and what goals you want to accomplish. This self-reflection will help you to understand yourself better and make better decisions.
  2. Understand your strengths and weaknesses: Take a good look at your strengths and weaknesses. Understand what you're good at and what you need to improve on. Identify the areas where you excel and where you need to develop new skills and knowledge. This understanding will help you to make the most of your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.
  3. Seek feedback from others: Seek feedback from friends, family, and colleagues. Ask them what they see as your strengths and weaknesses and what they think you should work on. This feedback can be invaluable in helping you to understand yourself better and make improvements.
  4. Try new things: Experiment with new activities and hobbies. Try different things and see what you enjoy and what you don't. This can help you to discover new passions and interests and gain a better understanding of yourself.
  5. Reflect on your experiences: Take time to reflect on your experiences. Think about what you've learned and how you've grown. This reflection will help you to understand yourself better and make better decisions in the future.

Remember, becoming an expert on yourself is a process that requires time, reflection, and self-awareness. Also keep in mind that that we are always growing and changing and by continuously working on becoming an expert of yourself, you'll be able to live a more fulfilled and successful life. You'll also have insights to more clearly and consistently interact with others.
