When interacting with people, it’s important to know where you stand with them.
The reality is that we bring some value and often times we are invited places because of the value we bring, and that’s a great thing. Sometimes, we can be invited places because there is something that people have to give to us, sometimes with strings attached and sometimes without. We can find ourselves disillusioned when we incorrectly assume people wan the best for us, but in reality we are present because our presence is to serve the best for them.
