Let’s talk about being better together.
When we come together, we have a choice to look for commonalities
and alignments versus looking for things that divide. Instead of finding differences to establish a ranking, seek out positive attributes that
compliment and strengthen the group.
The next time you are placed on a work team or are part of a
volunteer group, seek to focus on the common goal, and then look for the
strengths that each one can bring to the process. Next, you can look for the
growth opportunities that the project or process might provide for team members.
When we value what each person brings to the group and we intentionally consider growth and learning opportunities, it helps everyone to be more engaged in the relationship and the outcomes of the work.
