Episode 6–466: Saying No Isn't Naughty - No is not a bad thing

Let’s talk about setting boundaries and sharing expertise

Sometimes the word “no” gets a bad rap. But saying “no” is
sometime necessary.

When we say “no” we set boundaries for ourselves and for
others.

Sometimes we need to say “no” to bring a bit of critical
thought to a conversation. Done respectfully, this may lead to
greater influence and respect, which is contrary to what some may think.

Saying “no” can open doors to new opportunities.  Consider a person that wants to achieve better health.  They may say no to many things that might delay their health journey, like sweets, or late nights. The health they receive is a payoff for saying "no" to some things.

Saying “no” can also create physical and emotional
protection.

Instead of not saying no out of Fear, think of saying no out of confidence and belief in protecting your best future.

So remember, sometimes saying “no” is just what you need to
move forward.
