Let’s talk about Knowing Your Audience & Taking Cues
In life, it’s important to pay attention. Social editing
skills, being able to read your audience so that you can interact in a way that your communication or efforts are received as you had intended, is important.
When we communicate it is important that we allow ourselves
the opportunity to check in to see if information is being received and understood. When we give ourselves this time
to check in, it allows us to make changes. We must also learn that there are times to speak and there are times to listen. We also need to ascertain the level of detail that is best share or not shared in any given situation. Understanding these aspects of communication can help us with our ability to be better social editors to produce the quality communication that we want people to receive.
So, let me encourage you to always be aware of the what the
audience for your communication needs in order to best utilize what you have to share and give yourself the opportunity to check in on how you messages are being received. The better we communicate with others, the greater positive impact we can have with others.
