Episode 6-530: The Morning After – Remember This
Let’s talk about Superbowl Life Lessons
By now, you’ve likely heard that the Kansas City Chiefs defeated
the San Francisco Forty-niners to win the 58th Superbowl. And while that wasn’t he outcome I was hoping for, it was an engaging game, complete with an overtime. I’ve always found that sports embody many life lessons, and this game was not an exception.
Here are a few life lessons, I was reminded of:

It’s not over, until time runs out, and when time runs out, it is over.
·
Practice prepares and provides options.
·
Everything is not in our control – no matter how “perfect” we might be.
·
In life there are handoffs and we need to do the best we can to set others up for success.
·
It matters how we play the game, following the rules doesn’t have to negate creativity.
·
Winning and losing is an outcome of competition, but we can all have an attitude of gratitude and grace for being a part of the process.
·
Experience provides perspective that can enrich our lives, if we choose to seek out life lessons.
·
There are a lot of ordinary moments and hard work, behind the short moments of spotlight.
·
When you are given the spotlight you have a unique opportunity to impact others…be prepared.
So, it was a great game, with some great life lesson reminders
that I hope you also found valuable.
