If you only had 103 seconds to get out of danger would you immediately take action or would you put off your decision until you had less than a minute? Would you wait until you only had 30 seconds? Would you still have time to safely avoid the danger?
The trouble with sin is that is damages and destroys everything it impacts and its consequences are sooner than they appear. God is holy. We are sinners. We need forgiveness if we are ever to enjoy fellowship with God. The problem with sinners is not just that they sin but that they are sinners at their very core. Recognizing that we are sinners not just by action but by nature is the first step to finding safety.
