Description

Briana Bowley chats with Mark Edmundson about his journey through the Australian prison system, the lessons learned and his transition back into day to day life.

Mark Edmundson is a single father to 5 children and a grandfather to 1 beautiful little girl. He grew up in the suburb of Bidwill in Western Sydney, Australia. Mark had a dream of becoming a fighter pilot for the Royal Australian Air Force as a young boy, until he started playing sport then it all changed. He played league at ages 11 and 12. At 16 he started playing soccer and completely fell in love with the sport. Then at 39 he had his left ACL snapped playing and was told to retire from playing. It was this event that eventually led to him finding passion in life - to become a soccer coach.

Growing up with an alcoholic father and becoming an alcoholic himself, including going to gaol for D.U.I, Mark finally broke his addiction after 23 years of alcohol abuse. Now as a part of his purpose, he has found personal development. It is through personal development that he believes he can create positive change in people, help them break their addiction and find their purpose and why in life and have a great positive impact in society and give back.

Mark believes that it is through all these challenges in life, that you can still achieve whatever you want in life. It is never too late to start. You constantly have to adapt and change so you can overcome any challenge life puts in front of you. All change starts with you making a decision.
