Briana Bowley chats with World Champion Boxer and Bellator MMA star, Arlene Blencowe about her struggle to the world stage and what life is like juggling being a working Mum with life as a combat sports star.
Arlene ‘Angerfist’ Blencowe is began her boxing career whilst juggling being a single Mum. Beginning her boxing career in 2012, it wasn’t long before she held world championship titles in both Women’s International Boxing Association and the World Boxing Federation.
In 2013 Arlene began her professional MMA career, becoming the first Australian female signed to world MMA promotion, Bellator just one year later. Arlene won her Bellator debut with an impressive fight round TKO.
Today, Arlene is ranked 4th in the women’s world featherweight division.
