Briana Bowley chats with Olympic Judo Competitor, MMA Fighter and Owner of SA Judo Academy, Steve Brown, on his transition from Judo to MMA, what it takes to get to the Olympics and the drama surrounding his MMA career.
Steve Brown began his martial arts career with Judo, with a 3rd dan black belt which found him competing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.
As a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Steve has transitioned from the world stage as an Olympic athlete to the local stage as an MMA fighter, with 4 fights to his record.
Steve now trains out of SA Judo Academy, Element Jiu Jitsu and Technicians Thai Boxing.
