Description

A couple checked into the Ropers Motel in the West Texas town of Pecos in the summer of 1966. Later that day the wife was found in the bottom of the pool but the husband was gone. When police tried to find him, it turned out that the couple gave a false name. No one knew the young woman's identity or his. For over 50 years the town of Pecos wondered about the identify of the young woman found in the pool. Local law enforcement never gave up and finally Pecos Jane's identity was discovered.
