T'ata Begay pronounced Tee-ah-ta is Taos Pueblo, Chickasaw and an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She is a cultural educator, powwow (fancy shawl) dancer, and a current doctoral student at Baylor University. Her work experience and doctoral studies focus on acknowledging and utilizing the authentic representation and accurate information of Native people by Native people at tribal led museums and cultural centers, which can be found around the country. T'ata believes they area resource not utilized enough.
