Having come across the lady inked with love from head to toes
Friendly eyes, beautiful both inside and out, is what Christina shows
Yet behind the giving, and the effervescent attitude, she became worn
Pleated dreams and well shined hopes became disheveled and torn
What started as a very small crack became a raging river that flows
Bleeding those sunny skied futures, yet smiles are all that Christina shows
Hard to hold the smile, hard to see the sun, hard to imagine improving
Until something changed, like an earthquake; only nothing else was moving
Troubles lifted off her back, sprouted love and respect and the feeling grows
Fire burning away the pain, the flames of love grew high and Christina shows
Christina shows without a sound, not a word passes through her lips
What once had seemed so hard to handle she now effortlessly grips
Christina shows no fear, no hesitation left in her voice as the feeling grows
