Drifting off into slumber
Panic spreading around the town, and the violence amplifies
the sound
Hell ripped open and there’s demons comin right up through
the ground
Fear not fellow citizens the chimera lies slain, the hero
returned in a nick of time again
That’s right it’s that dashing hero of dreamland, preserving
peace he’s everybody’s friend
Pet the dogs, fluff my pillow and kill the light
Close my eyes and join my adventure tonight
Saving the planet after bedtime, sawing up lumber
I can do anything anytime, as I’m drifting off into slumber
You might wonder can I pull a rabbit from a hat? A rabbit,
sure; and a French speaking cat
And I can be where you need in a flash, catch you when you
fall, be there to change a flat
Have a stiff drink ready right before you explode, help you
figure life’s puzzle; crack the code
Get you smiling, get you ready to go and you’ll be heading
on your way down salvation road
