Family zone
Well hello how your life can be ever changing
In your head you find yourself rearranging
Tear those cabinets out, move the stove over here
Put a patio door out the back seems I have no fear
I’m looking at the way I kept most everything
Some bring smiles, and some don’t do anything
I don’t know why they’re still taking up space
But it’s time to start making it a useful place
I used to just toss my hat
Where it landed is where it sat
I grew tired of a life of being alone
My singles pad is now a family zone
I’m anxious about making sure before I christen
This new ship in my mind, that I turn an ear to listen
I’m not the only one that should be deciding what to do
So excuse my gushing thoughts I can’t wait to live with you
I’m certain you have been thinking about what to move
What to toss, what color to paint, I’ll bet you have a groove
That will carry the house from room to room making it our home
Somewhere to be happy to return no matter where we may roam
