Fate
She’s excited, he’s delighted, and the whole damn thing is
blighted
By the almighty dollar, it’s the way all good love stories
are plighted
Where’s the fun, unless it’s undone, and the heroine needs
to be won
From the evil clutches of some sinister evil, so she can
finally break free and run
It always seems there’s another unforeseen obstacle
Like blindly reaching for grape, only to get a lemon
popsicle
Like there’s free beer at the bar but once again you’ve come too late
It’s the way the story goes, they say it’s Murphy’s law I
say it’s fate
Damn the chances, he
dodges lances, skips around danger as he dances
Climbing scaffolding past Donkey Kong, to his pretty
princess, he romances
No evil man or deed, no avarice or greed, can ever keep him from her he will succeed
And after slaying every dragon, he’ll rush back to the
princess and fulfill every need
Down the road if life sees fit to toss another obstacle
We’ll deal with it, cause together we have more moxie still
Yes we can ride through a shitstorm and still come out
smelling great
Done it before, nothing we can’t handle, as long as we share our
fate
