Heal
Roads are dark and the journey gives a scare, casually she
twirls a manicured finger through her hair
So long she never was never part of a pair, years rolled
into mountains of regret having no one to care
Bar room bad doom filled decisions, cut like knives with a
rusty edge leaving infected incisions
Leaving both her and her broken heart in bad positions, till
her dream became reality straight from her visions
Though it was so within reach, she could touch and feel, no
longer just fantasy this love was real
Struggling with old layers she needs to peel, open her bare
heart again and let this love heal
Heal the heartaches
Mend the mind breaks
Create a place to proudly display
Heal the wounds
Sway together to the tunes
Together dance, let the music play
Heal the worries
Relax all life’s “hurries”
Smell the roses and enjoy the weather
Heal the wondering
Feel the rain, enjoy the thundering
Running through puddles laughing together
Take all of my love and heal
