My sun’s behind a cloud
Sitting on my front steps outside, waiting for that warmth
to fill me up inside
See I got a chill that just won’t quit, but you know it’ll be
gone in just a little bit
As I sip my coffee, spit it out and yell out loud, ugh cold
as ice cause my sun’s behind a cloud
Went down the street to stand in a ray, but wherever I tried
to walk the cloud went that way
I think it’s all in my head, but it seems nothing is going right, so I better
grab a coat instead
Sun is shining on the in crowd, but honey it’s chilly over
here, damn my sun’s behind a cloud
Where did that dark cloud come from? Cause it seemed like
this day was just starting to hum
I swear I saw a beautiful sunrise, but now it can’t break
through no matter how hard it tries
Help me baby lose this dark sky, shine your love across the black
day with a little wink of your eye
Babe you smile and I feel so proud, tanning myself in your
glow even though my sun’s behind a cloud
Still nice and warm, you make me feel so fine, gotta wear
shades but you know baby I don’t mind
