Sip of Sunshine
Spring is only but a few hours away
Wake up sweetie, smile and kiss the day
So, you’re feeling blue, winter’s been a bummer
Cheer up honey, cause now it’s nearly summer
Walking holding hands, soon we will be feeling fine
Come and join me and have yourself a sip of sunshine!
Tennis anyone? How ‘bout a walk in the park?
We can light a bonfire and cuddle after dark
Kick it down where the waves crash the shore
It’s only mid-March and there is so much more
Fire up the grill, grab the steaks and the wine
Slide up next to me sugar, have a sip of sunshine!
Don’t let them tell you it doesn’t last
Dismiss the talk of how it goes too fast
Cause we can get warm under the covers
Cold weather is made for “summer lovers”
Drinking the memories we made, try some of mine
When you’re feeling cold, have a sip of sunshine!
