Sizzle
Fire up the stove, throw the pan on for some eggs
Grab a cup of coffee, pull a pair of shorts over my legs
I look outside, clouds overhead and it’s starting to drizzle
All I can hear is the butter hit the pan as it starts to sizzle
You called my name before, but then you hesitated
Got stuck on yesterdays that you never quite masticated
Too many times felt the same rush only to have it fizzle
Called back cause you couldn’t deny the way we sizzle
Sizzle when we talk, even more when we touch
Sizzle so hard, we’ll get burned from too much
But it’s a chance we’re willing to take
Sizzle as we look ahead, past a trail of sorrows
Sizzle even more when we dream of our tomorrows
It’s a life we’re dying to make

Day came when all the roadblocks were defeated
The to-do list we made was now finally completed
Like a pair of atoms put together that’re highly fissile
Baby we’re bacon in a pan that you just can’t wait to sizzle
