Some days
Some days are diamonds, while some are dogs
Some have it all in alignment, some lack a few cogs
Just when you get to the denouement, you find yourself alone
But you’ve done nothing wrong you say, she won’t answer the phone
A passion play without compassion, a love story for one
Life’s catwalk in my latest fashion, another heartache begun
But the wrinkle in this romantic mystery, story plays in continual loop
Promised love will prevail throughout history, she’s committed to share
a stoop
The age old conundrum rambles along in your mind, does love really
stand a chance
Been many places, situations, rarely did I ever find, anything so strong
as our romance
So ease the burden tearing at your aching heart, sever the feeling and
pain that radiates
But the love grows so why try to take it apart, cause it has no ceiling
despite how it complicates
Some days are diamonds, while some are dogs
Some have it all in alignment, some lack a few cogs
Just when you get to the denouement, you find yourself alone
But you’ve done nothing wrong you say, she won’t answer the phone
So sometimes you just need to trust in the one you place your love
Sometimes you clasp your hands, hit your knees and pray to God above
Sometimes you get the answers you seek, others you get what you
need
Sometimes you don’t have words to speak, blind faith is how you
succeed
Some days are diamonds, while some are dogs
And well, dogs are all right with me.
