The Undeniable Truth
I was a kid first time I met love, tried to make it come my way
Despite my purest intentions, it turned out love could not stay
I've dreamt of getting it back far too many times since my youth
My dream since then to hold it again, yeah, it’s the undeniable truth
Ever walk down a street, and catch a glimpse of someone you know
Only to turn red when you track them down but it’s a different fellow
Love can be like that, often I’ve sworn I saw its beauty, but it was so uncouth
True love doesn’t seek to burn your heart but to warm it, it’s the undeniable truth
After everything kept turning to ashes, after countless efforts to try to track it down
After falling in the waters of self-doubt amidst the tears I felt like I was going to drown
A small hand grabbed me and pulled me up, from the moment we sat in the restaurant booth
Christina I’ve found true love in you, and I’ll never let go, and baby that’s the undeniable truth!
