Twenty-first century peace accord
Paris was lovely in January of seventy-three, that is unless you were living in the south
In Vietnam where the signing of the Peace Accord meant your doom soon as it left Nixon’s mouth
With a decent interval to save face knowing full well it would ultimately lead to the collapse
Kissinger admitted as much but the Stab-in-the-back myth curried favor with the right-minded chaps
Saigon fell and the left took the blame, but everyone forgot cause they ramped up Watergate
Learn from history people, let’s not make the same mistake, wake up before it’s too late
Talk about inflation, and the high price of gas
Getting so it’s expensive just to cut the grass
Time has come for us to try and reap a little reward
Bury the hatchet have a twenty-first century peace accord
Time to stand as one, ain’t buying the bullshit that somehow sitting on our hands
Will keep Putin from pushing the button that will eliminate all our homelands
Put the power to the Bear, get some planes in the air and kick his ass out of Ukraine
Every day we see the bodies of the innocent young children, man this is insane
Left and right remember we are all living under the red, white and blue
Like our forefathers before us, in times of crisis we know what to do
Talk about inflation, and the high price of gas
Getting so it’s expensive just to cut the grass
Time has come for us to try and reap a little reward
Bury the hatchet have a twenty-first century peace accord
Return the world to normalcy, while we’re at it lend a hand to the people down south of the borders
Legal immigration’s not a dirty word, most of them would fill the void and help us complete orders
Companies struggling for employees, from the fields to the factories and all the way to your table
We all see the help wanted signs, but we shun the very group of people who are more than able
And while we’re at it, work to end the cutting down of rain forests, time to explore alternative means
Skipping a Big Mac once in a while for a healthier option also makes it easier to fit in your favorite jeans
Talk about inflation, and the high price of gas
Getting so it’s expensive just to cut the grass
Time has come for us to try and reap a little reward
Bury the hatchet have a twenty-first century peace accord
Nancy and Mitch sitting in a tree, playing nice for everyone to see
Donny shut the fuck up, Joe ignore the polls and do the right thing
Reach across the aisle and shake hands and let’s see what it can bring
Quit restricting women's rights, keep Congress out of our nights
Don’t need your laws when we’re alone and we turn out the lights
The time has come to drop the sword, use common sense folks cut the cord
Do not follow blindly voices who open wounds that this country can’t afford
Yeah, bury the hatchet and let’s have us a twenty-first century peace accord
