Between a saga in Bali, American cultural references aplenty, and the six games of Round 14, there's a lot to get into here. The first rematch of the season didn't disappoint, as Richmond evened the score with Carlton thanks to a big second quarter. The Blues were one of many teams in the current 8 to disappoint. The Saints fell flat against Essendon of all teams, but we left that came more impressed with the victors than anything; Port completely outplayed Sydney and their former second ruckman; Geelong had to really labor to earn a three-goal win out in Perth over West Coast. GIANTS v Bulldogs was a slugfest of offense in front of a typical disappointing Showground crowd, and on Sunday, the Suns showed some real maturity, bending but not breaking as they got past Adelaide to get above .500 for the first time this late in the campaign in eight years.
