After a thrilling Round 1 which saw eight of the nine matches retain serious interest into the fourth quarter, Round 2 is set to begin as 2022's storylines start to take shape. The weeknight affairs are both blockbusters in their own right, and Saturday and Sunday both present plenty of opportunities for teams to take big steps forward... and backward. Each of the Kassel brothers have revenge on their mind, as Geelong and West Coast seek to avenge 2021 defeats to Sydney and North Melbourne respectively, while Richmond and GWS may be the most meaningful matchup of 0–1 teams in a long while. The honeymoon phase of a new season and big crowds is over — let's see who can get down to business in this second week.
