Scriptures Reviewed: Heb. 9:23-28; Heb. 10:1-10
Discipleship Points: Jesus offered His sacrifice ONE TIME. He appeared to "put away sin," i.e. any penalty for sin is gone for believers. Christ was offered ONCE for sins; He will come again but for salvation. The blood of bulls and goats could not take away sins. Though God allowed yearly sacrifices, He had no pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices. In verse 10:10, we read that we believers have been sanctified through His offering once and for all!
