Hey Faithers! Happy Monday!! Welcome to Episode 126! We said good bye to our Welcome Series and now we are in our Grief, Healing & Holiday Series! I have been doing this series for about two years now! So, I am excited to talk about what is at the center of our hearts, Grief! Let’s discuss it all!Ice Breaker: Grief Card Deck:
Grief is not reserved for those who lose someone to a physical death.
Happy Monday! Welcome to episode 126!
So, this podcast, this organization and this business was created with grief in mind.
I originally wanted to create a safe space specifically for adults who are grieving because I saw there were few and far between resources for the adults who are grieving.
I know there might be a 55 year old out there who lost their parents and guess what, the pain still hurts.
I also want to talk about something. I haven’t seen my neighbors since the summer time. I did not know them. I did not even know their names but I spoke to them anytime I saw them and saw their dog. I remember seeing them one time and then never again. Well now it looks like their house being cleaned out and I can’t help but grieve. This is grief that we do not talk about.
My mom’s birthday is coming up and something I always discuss is my trip to Paris and I how I celebrated her life.
I also just listened to the Black Girl Bravado. A podcast I have been listening to since the Pandemic. The podcast was part of my weekly routine and they recently just said good bye and I am grieving that.
Grief is all around us. Grief does not go away and we grieve so much more than death. I have always throught we need to give ourselves permission to grieve and allow ourselves to sit in it.
Affirmation: Grief is part of the human experience. I know I will experience some changes and I will sit in the uncomfortableness.
