Description

We have the latest developments (at the time of recording) on the Russian war in Ukraine.
U.N. officials say 2 million people have fled Ukraine in the two weeks since the invasion began. As the cross-border exodus from Ukraine continued today, the humanitarian situation in the country’s besieged cities is growing worse, including in Mariupol, where bodies lay uncollected in the streets and hopes for a mass-evacuation of civilians were dashed yet again. A Ukrainian government official says 5,000 people, including hundreds of foreign nationals, did manage to leave the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy through a humanitarian corridor Russia and Ukraine agreed to Monday. They were driven by bus southwest to the Ukrainian city of Poltava. Meanwhile, President Biden announced a U.S. ban on Russian oil imports. 🇺🇦🇷🇺🇺🇲
