On #TheUpdate this Monday, Connecticut residents will soon have an easier way to show their vaccination status by using a cellphone app, though whether it's required will be up to businesses, restaurants and other establishments. Governor Ned Lamont says that the app will give restaurants and stores the tools they need to determine what restrictions to put in place, if any. With a statewide deadline of December 31st to opt-in or opt-out of hosting local marijuana dispensaries or consumption lounges, more than 400 towns and villages across the state have opted to block them. And dozens of people in five states were killed by tornados that leveled entire communities on Friday night, but the toll at a Kentucky candle factory is not as devastating as initially feared. Officials initially said only 40 of 110 workers at Mayfield Consumer Products has been rescued. 🌪️🕯️🏭
