On #TheUpdate this Tuesday, is the jury in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial smelling like a deadlock? They've gone three full days of deliberations without sign of a verdict. Recently, they requested multi-colored sticky notes, a white board, and some trial transcripts. They also asked for the definition of enticement and a question pertaining to the law. Federal judge Paul Engelmayer in Manhattan has ordered New York City to install crosswalk signals to aid blind people and those with bad eyesight in more than 9,000 intersections over the next 10 years. It comes more than a year after he rules that most crosswalks in the city violate laws protecting people with disabilities, because they only communicate crossing information in a visual format.
And Dr. Anthony Fauci says that the nation should consider a vaccine mandate for domestic air travel. He says that such a mandate might drive up the lagging vaccination rate as well as confer stronger protection on flights as infection rates spike, but a vaccine mandate for air travel is likely to spark legal challenges. βοΈπ
