On #TheUpdate this Thursday, Ghislane Maxwell is guilty as charged- at least on 5 of the 6 charges against her. The verdict capped a monthlong trial featuring accounts of the sexual exploitation of girls as young as 14. On the five counts she was found guilty of, each count has prison time ranging anywhere from 5 to 40 years.
The latest omicron surge is giving us flashbacks of 2020- and not in a good way. Governor Hochul is warning if a January surge in COVID-19 infections as hospitalizations from the virus continue to rise. More than 67,000 people tested positive statewide Tuesday, and new COVID-19 cases across the country have risen to their highest level on record: over 265,000 per day. And in Los Angeles, authorities say that 55-year-old Angela Kukawski, a business manager whose clients had included Nicki Minaj and the Kardashians has been killed, and her boyfriend, 49-year-old Jason Barker, has been charged with murder and torture. Police say they found her dead in her own car on December 23rd. 👩❤️👨💀🚘
