On #TheUpdate this Thursday, there's been yet another shooting in the Bronx. An 11-month-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the face while in a parked car. The NYPD says that the child and her mother were in the vehicle while the father was in a grocery store. Her 1st birthday is in just a few days. The teenager who admitted to the stabbing of Tessa Majors has been sentenced to 14 years to life in prison. Rashaun Weaver had pleaded guilty in December to murder and robbery in the killing in 2019. Some European countries such as Spain are making tentative plans for when they might start treating COVID-19 as an "endemic" disease, but the World Health Organization and other officials have warned that the world is nowhere close to declaring the pandemic over.
