Description

From New York, the greatest city in the world, it's The Update with Brandon Julien, but this time on the road. We're again at the IBS conference from the Hotel Pennsylvania in Midown, where college radio stations and students from around the country gather to exchange ideas and listen to professionals from the industry on panels and discussions.

Some stories talked about on today's show were:

1. The NYPD is investigating a deadly stabbing on a subway platform in the Bronx. Police say someone stabbed two men - one 25, the other 28 - at the Morrison Avenue/Soundview station. The attack happened just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday on the 6 train southbound platform.

2. The NYPD have charged five teenage boys in connection with a brutal gang assault and robbery caught on camera in Brooklyn. The NYPD told WABC that the five boys, ranging in age from 14 to 17 years old, turned themselves at the 77th precinct. All five were charged as minors with robbery and assault. Their fate will be decided in Family Court.

3. Blueprints for the original World Trade Center are on sale until Sunday at the New York International Antiquarian Book Fair. The James Cummins Bookseller team says the set includes over 500 plans and is the largest for the Twin Towers ever offered for sale.
