From New York, the greatest city in the world, it's The Update with Brandon Julien! Today's road stop takes us to Sara D. Roosevelt Park on the Lower East Side, where we're also excited to be back on the 90.3 WKRB Mixcloud channel.

Some stories talked about on today's show were:

1. New York City is starting to open new coronavirus testing sites for hard-hit communities, and residents throughout the state are facing new rules on covering their faces. Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that five new walk-in testing sites will be open by Monday, with a focus on residents ages 65 and older in areas with high numbers of cases of the COVID-19 virus.

2. Americans have been through a lot in the 25 years since the Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people, including foreign wars, mass shootings and the deadly Sept. 11 attacks. But on April 19, 1995, the attack on the nation’s heartland shocked Americans out of their sense of security.

3. The NFL will hold a practice remote draft on Monday, three days before the real thing is done in the same way. Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn said Friday morning that the mock draft will be Monday. He didn’t provide any details on the proceedings, other than what the Lions will be part of.
