This is our 3rd week of 52 weeks of guided prayer for Emmaus Church as we prepare to plant in 2023. Join us this week as we continue to use a section from the Athanasian Creed as a prompt for praying for us. This week we zero in on how doctrine and mission are not two different, or opposed, ideas, but one. 1 Timothy 4:16 is our paradigm, where Paul tells Timothy to watch his life and doctrine closely, that he might save his hearers. We want to be a doctrinally sound Church not only because that is Biblical and glorifying to God, but also because soundness of doctrine is a strategy for mission - a strategy for the joy of Ankeny!
