I donβt know about yβall, but I feel like most of us grew up the same π€£. Most black parents didnβt play that. Things were kept separate back in the day. So much so, now it is hard for our parents to truly embrace us as adults. That transition period has been missed by 10 years I feel like. You SHOULD want to be friend with your kids to a certain extent. You SHOULD want to know if they are drinking, using drugs, or having sex. Itβs just interesting looking at it now. Itβs weird really thinking that as we grow, more and more situations like this will happen. I can still be respectful toward my parents, while also creating healthy boundaries for myself. #TheTruthTree #LetsTalkAboutIt
