Episode 1.11
The Bible on the Road project kicks off with a trip to Genesis 1-3. Join Anna and Layne as they talk through creation and the fall. This episode (and all episodes of this project) we will be looking at a few components of each passage:
The Lay of the Land- what is the context of the passage? a synopsis.
Setting Up Camp- zooming in on some main ideas or points
The Weather- are there justice issues here? Is this a world we want to live in?
Souvenirs - what do we take away from this passage- what is our keepsake?
Did Creation happen in seven actual days? Does it matter?
Who was the serpent? How did it get to the garden?
How are we, as humans, called to be stewards of the earth? Of each other?
What gender and societal norms have grown from this passage to become important today?
And what about those curses?
All of this plus Anna's further pleas for Layne to finish Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Music from, Arrgh! A Pirate Band, Angels and Airwaves, and Noah and the Whale.
