Anna and I are joined by an old friend from California (by way of Iowa, now in Kansas City), Gerry Pickett. Gerry was a mentor of Layne's during his internship and early stages of his ordination that he began in the Free Methodist Church.
Gerry currently is the pastor of a church plant, Northtown Church in Kansas City, along with a "day job" in ministry as well. He was part of a church plant in Pasadena as well and has a wealth of information and wisdom when it comes to church planting.
Moreover, our main conversation with Gerry continues our conversation of call. What does and did his call look like? Does he even believe in call?
