After over a month of desperate anticipation - Lunch Break has taken over and so we meet again. Layne sits down with Landon Sheetz and Joey Loboda (of Lunch Break, Not Good Not Bad Productions, and most recently Arrgh! A Pirate Band) to talk about a number of random topics. Anna was traveling to New Jersey with Oliver when this episode was recorded but joined Layne for the intro and outro. While learning a bit about Landon and Joey we get a bit more information about their creative process when it comes to everything from podcasts to the movies that they have made.
Ultimately, though, this episode is not just a night of pure comedy (although it is) it is our chance to talk with the songwriters for our VBX (Vacation Bible Experience) songs. As we have mentioned before, we have been writing our own VBX curriculum this year and all of it essentially hinged on whether Landon and Joey could lend a musical hand. They answer hard hitting questions about the process of coming up with songs for something so specific and what it was like to think about and write about God in genders or pronouns outside of "he".
