Anna and Layne dive into some contemporary issues with Dr. Rich McCarty through the lens of his course in Christian Ethics as well as a look at World Religions during the second part of the sit-down with the Pastor/Professor. Last week introduced us to Rich and his work and this week we dive into some of the topics that we shy away from as a culture. We are calling it "Tough Topics" in a nod to the conversations we have with our youth group about topics that people don't often talk about.
Rich has a phD in Religious Studies from the University of Iowa and is a professor at Mercyhurst University. He is a published author of a book titled Sexual Virtue: An Approach to Contemporary Christian Ethics.
