In this episode, Nathan, Brad, Josh and Abby teach how different brewing methods result in different levels of flavor. Abby speaks on her expertise as a barista and how she comes up with recipes for different brewing methods in order to have the perfect balanced extraction of coffee.  

"Nailing down a recipe, getting your ratio, your coffee to water ratio right. And there's not one way. There are many ways, and depending on how strong you want it, how much flavor you are trying to extract, which hopefully you are trying to extract as much flavor as possible," said Abby. "which by the way, extraction is just water interacting with coffee grounds, so that's what I do basically every day. I'm just basically fine tuning and thinking about different brewing recipes."

Nathan is the president and co-founder of Baba Java Coffee. He founded Baba Java Coffee alongside his son, Joshua Parvin in 2017. Nathan serves as the big-picture visionary that pioneers strategic growth in all internal and external Baba Java endevours.

Brad is the Vice President of Operations and long-time close friend to Nathan. Brad inspired the business concept at the very heart of Baba Java and continues to instill their values in day-to-day operations. Without Brad, Baba Java would not exist as it is today.

Abigail Phillips is the head barista at Baba Java Coffee. She serves as our head trainer, our lead drink innovator and our knowledgeable expert on all things brewing.

Joshua Parvin is the Baba Java International Lead and co-founder of Baba Java Coffee. He founded Baba Java Coffee alongside his dad, Nathan Parvin. Josh serves as both a big visionary and day-to-day manager at Baba Java Coffee.
