We live submitted to something—or someone: beliefs, ideals, spouse, self, own understanding, logic, etc. In James 4:7, we are told to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee.” We have the option to cooperate with God’s vision for our lives or continue to walk in our own ways.
