Description

The Relatively Speaking Podcast comes to you with a heavy heart, a mental state filled with burdens, and less joy than it usually brings to the table.

There is some -- cough -- relatively good news. This episode of the podcast immediately starts off the rails. Joseph discusses how he is currently using steroids, Jared mentions how bad he was at baseball (he never had a hit!) and the two agree that there's a difference between organized basketball and pickup hoop.

The joy, mostly, ends there.

It is then off to discuss the biggest news of the week, and it isn't the NFL Draft.

ESPN released 100 people from its company on Wednesday. This wasn't the people working behind the scenes, either. It was the talent who brought a varying types of experience, styles and perspective to the table. It is, sincerely, a horrible thing for the industry.

Jared and Joseph attempt to discuss the entire ordeal. It is a far more complex than currently portrayed, so the duo attempt to do a better job explaining and expressing it.

Some of the biggest, and possibly strangest, things that were noted:

Joseph sticks up for Stephen A. Smith and slams someone who only goes after the lowest hanging fruit.
Jared brings up some writers who attempted to have everyone rally around the industry on Thursday.
Both discuss what is next.
There is so much more than just that, but it is hard to put in words. Just give it a listen.

As for Joseph, he's at @JosephNardone.
