Abraham began his great journey with a call from a God claiming to be the one and only. To leave an advanced civilization and follow Yahweh, who claimed to be the only God, and live as a nomad not only required faith and obedience, but it required a call and blessing. God calls us on a journey, but first offers a blessing and promise. Can we trust one who claims to be the only one to care for us?
