Description

This #MotivationalMonday we are honoured to share the remarkable story of Jessica (Jess) Rosenbloom. Jess is 18-years-old studying health sciences at the University of Ottawa. She is an avid runner and lover of nature and dogs. These are all things that define Jess; however, something ABOUT Jess is that she was diagnosed with a brain tumour nine years ago.

For the past nine years, Jess has gone through the unimaginable multiple surgeries, including the removal of her initially deemed inoperable brain tumour, as well as suffering a stroke amid her 70-round chemo. Despite all of this, Jess's strength and resilience have never waivered - even with the sudden recurrence of her brain tumour only a couple of months ago, which forced her to relocate to Boston, Massachusetts, for a specialized radiation therapy that isn't available in Canada.

Jess has finished her treatment and is back home, settling in and preparing to return to university in the fall!

Jess will participate in Meagan's HUG's annual walk and HUG this upcoming Saturday, May 7th. We are incredibly humbled by Jess and her story. Her passion for life and relentless resilience is tremendously inspiring. Please check out Jess's entire story on YouTube, Apple Podcasts or Spotify!
